How is your coaching different from others?

Through my corporate experience, personal experience, and academic qualifications, I have developed tools and techniques to bring to clients to build fundamental confidence and resilience. I use these along with my coaching model to help clients lean into their lives and create the meaningful change they want (even if they’re not too sure what that looks like at the beginning!).

THE TOP EXECUTIVE COACHES [2021-22 Edition]

Michael believes that we all share an innate desire for ongoing growth and development. But we’re usually our own worst enemies; we either can’t find the path to change, or we’re sabotaged by our well-worn patterns of behavior, emotion and thought. Michael’s clients appreciate the way he invites depth in the process of inquiring about what drives these patterns. With more understanding comes more freedom to express one’s strengths and lead with powerful authenticity.

How is your coaching different from others?

My sweet spot is supporting leaders for whom the development of deeper leadership competencies is being blocked by an underlying issue of lack of balance, stress, or poor self-management. Build capacity for greater balance and relaxed focus, and the real work of developing yourself as a leader can begin.

I offer a unique combination of workflow coaching and leadership coaching. Workflow coaching builds very practical habits that enable an ongoing sense of balance and the ability to get more of the right things done with less stress. Leadership coaching develops underlying leadership competencies and behaviors through an iterative process of feedback, self-reflection, and behavioral practice.

Through this unique process, I help clients become truly productive leaders who develop greater self-awareness, get more essential work done, and reconnect with what really matters.

What is your niche or specialization?

Along with my core focus on leadership development, one of my unique specialties workflow coaching.  In this work, I offer specific practices and coaching to support leaders in improving their productivity and self-management, enabling them and their people to get more of the right things done with far less stress. How is your coaching different from others?

The Intelligent Leadership Executive Coaching Process is the foundation of my personal work as a coach but also the foundation of our US-based and International Franchise organizations. I went back to the corporate world at 40 and at 55 decided to re-launch my business, now a more level-headed humbled being, who was a lot smarter and experienced. All of these factors combined with a strong selfless work ethic to just help others become their absolute best have helped me!

THE TOP EXECUTIVE COACHES [2021-22 Edition]

How is your coaching different from others?

In my signature development program Break into the C-Suite, I teach science-backed skills that elevate the member’s ability to become more influential. In addition to teaching, each member receives personalized coaching on a set monthly curriculum. Where other coaches may have a mixture of teaching and coaching, my program stands out in that the techniques I use are both science-backed as well as practical and immediately applicable. I have found in coaching executives that they want to be told what to do which is a departure from purist coaching. So in some ways, I give them what they want and need, but then I fold coaching back in to help those clients uncover the deeper “why” behind their challenges.

What is your niche or specialization?

Emerging Executive women who are 1-3 layers beneath the C-Suite and have aspirations to lead at the highest levels but know they’re missing the nuance in their skills and abilities to get there.

How is your coaching different from others?

The decades of coaching has allowed me to build mastery in the four domains of coaching. Namely, life coaching, executive coaching, team coaching, and strategic business coaching. This mastery of the four enables me with the agility to meet and fulfill the client’s needs and expectations. For example, I can quickly move from executive coaching to strategic business coaching if the coaching conversation flows that way and then go on to life coaching if something in the client’s life is an obstacle to business results. And, if the client expresses their intention for me to coach their team, I have the nous, experience, and tools to enable a high-performance team for the benefit of my clients.

What is your niche or specialization?

Thanks for asking, I take on all levels of clients though I excel in coaching CEOs, CXOs, and senior executives in leading global corporations, NGOs, and the government. That factor is also appreciated by the World #1 Executive Coach Dr. Marshall Goldsmith who has recognized me as the World #1 Strategic Innovation Coach.

Over time, her articles have achieved over 35 million views and her following has grown to over 900,000 on LinkedIn and other platforms.

How is your coaching different from others?

In my coaching work, I draw on everything I’ve learned and experienced throughout my 35+ years of work, and the key points of differentiation from other career and executive coaches I believe are:

1) I serve not only as a coach in my work, but also as a consultant, advisor, mentor and sponsor, leveraging all that I learned from my 18-year high-level corporate career, as well as my former work as a therapist, and through my Forbes and podcast interviews with top movers and shakers in our world. In addition, I’ve conducted proprietary research to help build powerful assessments, tools and approaches that are transformative, through my research with thousands of professional women around the world.

2) I transformed my career twice – from corporate life to serving as a marriage and family therapist then to career/leadership coach, writer, and educator, and these various “lenses” and professional experiences help me help my clients dig deep, discover their right work and illuminate the world with it.

3) I’ve spent 16 years focused on the growth of professional women and have researched the key challenges women face and how to overcome them. IMy latest book, for instance, The Most Powerful You, explores the 7 most damaging power gaps that 98% of professional women face that keep them from thriving in their careers, and how to overcome them. Given this intensive focus, and the large number of women I’ve studied, trained and coached, I understand women’s challenges at a very deep level, and help them transform these challenges through new empowering behaviors, mindsets and actions to rise above the gaps and achieve their most exciting goals and visions.

4) I’m also an entrepreneur, in the “arena” if you will, doing the challenging work every day of business growth, thought leadership, launching programs and products, speaking and serving at a high level, in ways that stretch me out of my comfort zone every day, which helps my clients do the same.

What is your niche or specialization?

I focus on serving mid- to high-level professional women and female leaders who want more, different and better in their careers and professional endeavors.

Which locations do you serve?

I coach, teach and speak globally.

What according to you has been the single most important thing that has contributed to your success as a coach?

I believe the most important thing has been the ability to focus on “turning my mess into a message” to help other women thrive. I transformed the deep difficulties I faced throughout my 18 years of corporate life (including gender bias, sexual harassment, chronic illness, zero work-life balance, toxic colleagues and cultures, narcissistic bosses, and feeling a deep lack of meaning and purpose in my work, etc.) and I’ve researched and identified proven frameworks and coaching methodologies that help women overcome these challenges for good, so they can make the difference and impact they long to, with great reward and success on their terms.

THE TOP EXECUTIVE COACHES [2021-22 Edition]

How is your coaching different from others?

I use a unique blend of coaching, NLP, trauma treatments, healing, and guided journeys to help you let go of the past, release self-sabotaging behaviors to inject passion, meaning, and purpose into their lives.

What is your niche or specialization?

I’m the founder of the Professional Coaching With NLP Programme and has been teaching personal and professional coaching, life coaching and NLP for a decade.

Which locations do you serve?

I work from High Street Kensington London but serves clients all over the world. I’ve worked with clients from corporates such as Disney, KPMG, Universal Studios, Warner Brothers, but also with members of the public, who want to make change and who want to see results fast.

What according to you has been the single most important thing that has contributed to your success as a coach?

I believe that my success is down to three things. I have continuously educated myself in many healing methodologies. I am a qualified NLP Master Coach, Coach, Hypnotherapist, EMDR Therapist, Healer and Energy Therapist and easily move from one method to another depending on my client’s needs. The second reason for my success is that I only working with a limited number of clients (max 12). This allows me to fully commit to my clients personal and individual journeys and fully be there for them as they make the change.

The third reason for my success is the thousands of hours I’ve worked with individuals, and I have seen it all. I have helped torture victims from Libya overcome their nightmares, victims of sexual abuse recover a sense of safety, women suffering domestic violence. I’ve worked with high achievers who fly off the handle and hurt the people they love, executives and professionals who struggle with anxiety, emptiness and lack of meaning; as well as with people who have in their hearts a burning desire to do something good for the world.

I differ from most in the sector as comes from such a history of professional success. A lot of coaches have never run their own business. I’ve built and sold three. Also, my core philosophy, while most business coaches and consultants stay within the professional space. I believe that how we are in business is a byproduct of who we are personally. With that, my approach reaches into all areas of life, not just professionally speaking.

What is your niche or specialization?

THE TOP EXECUTIVE COACHES [2021-22 Edition]

How is your coaching different from others?

“ Who you are is how you coach” is a truism I have found in the practice. I describe my coaching presence, the way my Editor commented on my book “Fun read, but with a deep river running through” I felt she was almost describing me. I bring a fair bit of my eclectic self into establishing coaching presence and efficacy – I have worked with advertising, branding and marketing disciplines, I am a voracious reader, a trained actor and a certified Deep Sea Diver. I have handled many diverse roles in the private and social sector starting from building successful brands, developing and leading businesses, building successful teams, leading multi-sectoral partnerships to launch prestigious initiatives in diverse areas like instituting animal conservation awards, and skill-building in the wellness sector. This wide-ranging expertise has developed while working with communities in the rural areas of India, as well as across the globe, like in Japan, Canada, US, UK, Zambia, several European, East and South Asian countries, etc. Experiencing a wide range of audiences in multi-cultural environments for different roles has helped me gain strategic perspectives and handle a series of transitions effectively. In turn, I embody several coaching competencies today, work together with my clients to gain agility, resilience, inspire creative solutions, no matter what their challenges may be.

How is your coaching different from others?

I come from a marketing background so I understand the importance of explaining coaching not in terms of the “how” – not with a model or a framework or a theoretical recitation of research, but in terms of the real benefits to the client and to their organization (given our work is usually funded by organizations seeking to develop their people). My personal style is very straightforward and direct, focused on building a relationship with the client such that I have their trust when I ask them to challenge themselves by considering a new belief or experimenting with a new behaviour. I also am crystal clear about the boundaries of coaching in order that we don’t take on work where we are outside our zone of expertise.

What is your niche or specialization?

While I describe my focus simply as “executives,” my ideal client is someone who believes they are up to something big in the world. They might be leading a big organization or business unit, or they might be in the early stages of bringing a big idea into the world. In either case, my ideal client is aspiring to make a big contribution and is not willing to sacrifice either their health or their happiness in the process.

Which locations do you serve?

My firm serves clients globally.

What according to you has been the single most important thing that has contributed to your success as a coach?

I understand that marketing and sales are essential to the success of any business in any field, and coaching is no exception. So while I have invested hugely in building my skills and expertise (given doing good work is the most important component of success) I have also invested hugely in establishing and operating my business such that potential clients know about us and find us easily. What most coaches don’t want to hear is that it takes time, effort and money to build s sustainably successful business.

Alexander Meyer auf der Heyde

As an Executive Coach, Alexander works with leaders and leadership teams. Most of his clients are senior leaders themselves or mid-level executives on their way to becoming senior leaders. He coached individuals across the globe including Europe, the Americas, Asia, Middle East, and Africa.

Prior to setting up his business as an Executive Coach, Alexander enjoyed a successful international leadership career himself and held leadership positions up to the global Executive Committee level both in management consulting and a leading industry corporation.

How is your coaching different from others?

My clients value my own long-lasting own senior leadership experience, my intercultural experience from positions I held in China and India and my profound Executive Coaching skills, which I gained by doing a Masters in Executive Coaching at Hult International Business School/ Ashridge Executive Education. In my time as a Global Business Unit head, I worked with an Executive Coach myself and as such also know the perspective of my clients.

What is your niche or specialization?

As an Executive Coach, I work with senior leaders at an international level and across industries. My client companies span globally leading players, mid-sized companies as well as start-ups. In many cases, topics of my work include the transition from operational management to strategic senior leadership, empathy in communication, cultural change, and team performance.

Which locations do you serve?

I work where my clients want me to work. Many of my clients are based in countries different to my home country Germany. I have been extensively working over videoconference also prior to Covid-19 already – both for individual Executive Coaching and also Team Coaching assignments and workshops. While a face-to-face meeting is mostly preferable, my clients regularly confirm that virtual meetings for Executive Coaching are effective as well.

What according to you has been the single most important thing that has contributed to your success as a coach?

Most important in my view is that I can bring a combination of viewpoints into the coaching room: I am a certified Executive Coach, I experienced the development journey towards a senior leader with global P&L accountability myself, and I am used to dealing with complex business challenges from my time spent in management consulting.

Working with clients is hands down my favourite way to spend my time. I get a genuine buzz when I’m helping someone to realise their potential and carve a path to their goals. The energy that is created is addictive and keeps me motivated and excited to do this job, which has so far translated into very successful coaching relationships.

Keeping my clients at the heart of what I do is paramount. I regularly ask for feedback, so that I can ensure I am always innovating and supporting my clients in the best way possible. I love to focus on the creative part of my work – coming up with ideas and creating new courses and opportunities and imagining new ways to support people to overcome their business or lifestyle challenges, it is a huge part of what drives me. I love creative problem-solving and learning in the process.
