What do you do differently or how is your coaching different from others?

Kitty provides coaching using multiple approaches designed to meet the individual client’s needs. The mainstay of her program is her signature course, “Jumpstart Your Job Search,” which she created in 2015 and then revised and expanded in 2019. She provides the course as the mainstay of her service but has developed multiple access points into the program, from a do-it-yourself model to a full-service program that includes email support, group coaching, and premium one-on-one assistance.

What according to you has been the single most important thing that has contributed to your success as a coach?

The most important thing that has contributed to Kitty’s success as a coach is her background as an educator and her understanding of the need for a teacher who wants to transition out of the classroom to market themselves to the job they want rather than the job they have. Teachers must learn how to use the job description’s language if they want to get past the Applicant Tracking System. Most teachers don’t know how to do that without help. What sets Kitty apart is that she has been in their shoes. She understands what teachers can do, and as a career coach, she knows how to help them translate what they can do into the language of the job they want in their next career.

The client is put at the centre of transformation, using three keys based on neuroscience and mindfulness principles. This provides CLARITY on who you are and what’s important; CONTROL by building emotional fitness and making the best use of time, and deepens CONNECTIONS to improve relationships with self and others. When you know who you are, what you want and have the confidence to move towards it, exciting things happen!

What according to you has been the single most important thing that has contributed to your success as a coach?

I give clients the tools and support to do this. We are here to experience both of those things – it isn’t one or the other.
