Tom Black
Born in Nickerson, Kansas, within a converted railroad train boxcar, Tom's journey is marked
by unique experiences. An accomplished Eagle Scout, he spent summers working on his
uncle's farm. Attending Missouri State University, Tom's prowess shone on a national stage as a successful college debater, consistently triumphing and placing in numerous tournaments.

During this time, he also ventured into door-to-door book sales with the Southwestern company, where he emerged as the foremost salesperson, leading a team to the top amidst fierce competition involving thousands of college students across the nation.
In 1990, he laid the foundation for Private Business, which ascended to a public status in 1999. Tom's leadership as CEO endured until 2003. He then embarked on ventures like Bancsource and Imagic, with the latter merging with OSI and subsequently going public. Tom concurrently held the CEO position at Imagic and Bancsource, propelling the latter to become the largest independent ATM servicer in the country.
In 2009, Tom co-founded Ncontracts, now catering to over 4,000 financial institutions as the premier compliance software provider for financial services companies.
Today, Tom's role extends as a consultant and coach, catering to businesses across the spectrum, ranging from startups to Fortune 100 giants
What do you do differently or how is your coaching different from others?
My coaching is based on a sales system that’s been proven effective over and over again. It’s based on four pillars.
I. A Set of Values and Beliefs that most Great Sales people embrace.
II. The Number of People you see and how to see More.
III. The Quality of your Contact with the Prospect (presentation skills, follow up skills, assess entrepreneurial skills, etc.
IV. The Quality of the Prospect (relationship, decision maker, ability to buy financially). Selling is a Science not some hocus pocus.
What according to you has been the single most important thing that has contributed to your success as a coach?
The same things cause us all to be successful. Commitment to the client, a service attitude, no excuses for failure, something to teach.
