What do you do differently or how is your coaching different from others?

I work with leaders in 8-week programs using neuroscience, sports/clinical psychology and ancient wisdom to support them through any mental health challenges and build mental fitness. With teams and organisations, we focus on how to wisely spend and gain your mental and physical energy, so that we get both productivity and wellbeing. The bonus? You sleep peacefully, like a cat.

What according to you has been the most critical thing that has contributed to your success as a coach?

A personal ethos of learning— this incudes studying extensively across fields, reflecting on my practice, and refining my methods to sync with my clients and the times. Writing for mindbodygreen and ThriveGlobal for many years, as well as public speaking, has taught me to keep refining the way I communicate, so that my clients get onboard straight away.

I understand what it’s like to be responsible for driving engagement, wellbeing and performance in the workplace. It was during this time that I discovered Positive Psychology when trying to find answers to my leadership questions. In my practice, I have worked with over 1000 people from schools, not-for-profits and organisations across a range of industries both in Australia and overseas. I also teach undergraduate students at the University of Melbourne’s Centre for Wellbeing Science.

Additionally, I am the Chair of the University of Melbourne’s MAPP student and alumni association and an expert content collaborator for Hodie, which teaches students and young people the human skills needed to survive in the workplace. I also advise organisations on their wellbeing initiatives as a subject matter expert including Puka Up’s app Alffie (alongside the University of Melbourne) and ANZ’s coaching capability framework (with Deakin Co.)

The coaching techniques are informed by empirical research and practices, underpinned by my ongoing research (Ph.D.) into complexity and psychological wellbeing of aloneness in midlife adults.
