Glenn Gow
Glenn is a CEO Coach, Keynote Speaker on AI and a Board Member. His experience as a CEO for 25 years (and in venture capital for 5 years) taught him more than just business; it taught him the essence of leadership. Now, he applies his insights by coaching CEOs to create their own personal and corporate successes.
What do you do differently, or how is your coaching different from others?
I was a CEO for 25 years and had a coach for 17 years. I learned through doing and by being coached myself. When I was in venture capital, I started coaching the CEOs of our portfolio companies and I fell in love with this work. Now I coach only CEOs.
My coaching enables the CEO to become an even better CEO. As a result they achieve higher levels of performance for their companies and for themselves.
What according to you has been the single most important thing that has contributed to your success as a coach?
I was coached for 17 years by my own CEO Coach. During that time, I was becoming a better CEO. But what I didn’t realize was that my coach was teaching me how to coach. It was a transformational experience for me. Now I use that 17 years of training to help my CEOs.
Kim Scott
Kim Scott is the author of Just Work: How to Root Out Bias, Prejudice, and Bullying to Build a Kick-ass Culture of Inclusivity and Radical Candor: Be a Kick-Ass Boss Without Losing Your Humanity and co-founder of the company Radical Candor. A CEO coach at Dropbox, Qualtrics, and Twitter, Kim was also an Apple University faculty member and led AdSense, YouTube, and DoubleClick teams at Google.
What do you do differently, or how is your coaching different from others?
Fighting the gravitational pull toward conformity and coercion requires much more than good intentions, but telling people what to do doesn’t work. Using the principles of Radical Candor — caring personally while challenging directly to give feedback that’s kind, clear, specific and sincere, I guide executives and organizations away from command-and-control cultures rooted in bias, prejudice and bullying. Instead, I teach people to consciously design systems of Radical Respect that honor everyone’s individuality, rather than demanding conformity; and optimize for collaboration, not coercion.
What according to you has been the single most important thing that has contributed to your success as a coach?
Developing the “Radical Candor” and “Just Work” frameworks, outlined in my books of the same names, has allowed me to identify the importance of soliciting feedback before giving it. In addition, I’ve learned we can’t solve problems we refuse to recognize. Identifying what gets in the way of creating a just work environment — bias, prejudice and bullying — and being willing to recognize and eliminate those things, is the only way to build trust and create an equitable workplace where everyone feels safe to generate the innovation necessary to thrive in the modern economy.
PK Narayanan
I’ve been helping SME Business Owners and CEOs Scale-up their Business since 2003. Also I help Business Leaders, CEOs / CXOs of Large Businesses Scale-up their Leadership Presence and create the Leadership impact they want to create! Prior to 2003, I’d been leading businesses growing at scorching pace as CFO and CEO, in India and Australia.
Business Owners on a Scale-up journey face multiple challenges on various fronts. The complexity and multitude of challenges seem to over power their not-so-structured efforts. Often this leads to Business Owners feeling stuck, helpless, stalling their scale-up journey.
John Mattone
John Mattone is a bestselling author, the world’s top executive coach, and the founder/co-founder of five exceptional coaching and leadership development companies, John Mattone Global, Inc., Intelligent Leadership Executive Coaching (ILEC) Franchise, Intelligent Leadership Coaching International (ILCI) Franchise, Intelligent Leadership Online Academy (ILOA), and Intelligent Leadership Development Systems (ILDS).
John and his companies own an industry-leading 10 registered IP trademarks awarded by the United States Trademark and Patent Office (USTPO).
Tanya Dalton
For a while now, I have been working as a CEO coach. My biggest passion is helping women entrepreneurs and business owners because I love to see other women thrive and rise to the top of the business world. Now, what is it exactly that I do? A CEO coach mentors other CEOs—giving them the tools, system, and support to grow their own successful business.
My personal goal is to guide women to a successful business while maintaining free time for their personal life. In my work as a CEO coach, I have come across a lot of hardworking individuals. Often without the result, they wish. That is why I enjoy my job as much as I do. As a CEO coach, the possibilities are endless.
Glenn Glow
I came to Silicon Valley and worked for a start-up that failed. Then I worked in sales and marketing at Oracle. I then founded Crimson Consulting Group — a highly successful strategy consulting firm, while serving as CEO and Chairman of the Board.
We helped Apple, Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Cisco, Dell, HP, IBM, Intel, Oracle, SAP, Seagate, VMware, and many start-ups become even more successful through strategic consultation. In addition to being a CEO coach, I serve as a member of the board for Soteria Intelligence.
James Akin Smith
I have always had a passion for business and entrepreneurship. I spent 30 years starting, building and selling seven successful businesses across multiple industries in both the B2B and B2C sectors. My career has taken me across a variety of industries from eCommerce to international wholesale distribution.
Having built and grown an online retailer to the second most visited site in the UK in 3 years and successfully raised VC finance on 4 occasions, I have firsthand experience and knowledge about the practicalities of running businesses.
